The Travel Manager works on both strategic and operational aspects of the Adobe travel program. This includes working with our Travel Management Company and internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence in supporting Adobe travelers and driving initiatives to improve the overall program. The travel manager works with our suppliers for airlines, hotels, car and ancillary travel services to negotiate agreements and work closely throughout the agreement lifecycle to ensure the highest level of services are being delivered. The travel program falls within our global procurement organization and along with having an extensive global travel industry knowledge the travel manager is expected to follow the high procurement standards in working with suppliers. Major Job Functions:
Manage the relationship with our travel management partner including performance, enhancements, and tool utilization
Work with our airline, hotel, car, and ancillary services suppliers on new agreements, renewals and performance tracking and improvement initiatives
Coordinate with our global safety and security team to ensure traveler safety
Support events planners for travel needs and event planning coordination
Support our [Confidential Information] inbox to provide timely information to travelers
Actively contributes to major/strategic program performance initiatives aimed at bettering financial and operational performance
Demonstrate ability to build strong trusted relationships with senior internal stakeholders
Uses Project Management Methodology to ensure proper execution of projects
Work closely with cross-functional management to plan operational strategies aligned with business objectives
Ability to own and manage procurement programs and initiatives
Develop and maintain metrics, collecting and analyzing performance data, and performing root cause analysis of deviations
Utilizes and maintains procurement tools according to Global Procurement standards and expectations
Requirements:
Extensive travel industry knowledge that spans markets globally is required
Strong negotiator guiding and leading the business to get the best result for Adobe
Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree (preference: BA/BBA focus in Business Management, Supply Chain, and/or International Management)
Preference: minimum ten years experience in the global travel industry with roles including strategic sourcing and procurement
Requires a strong knowledge of procurement practices and techniques
Exemplify good level of emotional intelligence (EQ) in positively influencing various stakeholders and improving business dynamics both within Global Procurement and broadly across Adobe
High attention to detail and the exercise of sound judgment and decision-making
Has exceptional written and verbal communications, time management, and interpersonal skills while primarily working in the English language
Demonstrate an ability to communicate in a concise and effective manor at all levels
Must be willing to train and educate users in new processes, policies, and procedures or technologies
Must be able to achieve demanding deadlines without requiring constant follow-up
Able to reorder priorities on short-notice and adapt to changing requirements
Ability to work long/non-standard hours when necessary
