Sr Software QA Engineer @ Kronos Incorporated

Job Description

Description As a Sr Software Test Engineer, you'll be embedded on one of our Compliance development teams consisting of around 25 other people. You will be engaged in feature development focused on US Compliance Payroll calculations, reproducing and testing customer-found defects, along with writing .NET and SQL test automation. You will also get to work directly with other Quality Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and occasionally our support teams in a highly collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to grow as a software tester and help instill in others a passion for quality enterprise development.
Job Responsibilities
.3+ year experience writing simple functional test cases
.3+ year experience executing test plans and reports
.3+ year experience interpreting Business Requirements and designing and executing tests directly related to those requirements
.3+ year experience executing software development testing methodologies (Whitebox /Blackbox testing)
.3+ year experience with the development and execution of acceptance criteria
.3+ year experience documenting test efforts and communicating results to both a technical and non-technical audience.

Qualifications .Computer Science/Business undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
.Experience with the SDLC
.Self-motivated, positive team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
.Excellent problem-solving skills and technical aptitude.
.Strong organizational and prioritization skills
.Proven ability to communicate technical problems in practical terms.
.3+ year performing QA testing in a Payroll / Tax Compliance Space
.3+ year experience with agile/lean development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum
. Written and implemented automated unit, system, and integration tests
. Ability to write and test code C#, an object-oriented language, to
support our primary products
. Experience with functional test automation tools, such as Nunit, NSubstitute, etc.
.Ability to code complex SQL statements and/or basic understanding of NoSQL databases
.Understanding of Agile or Lean Software Development experience such as Kanban or Scrum
.Ability to successfully work within a team and manage a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
.Excellent problem-solving skills
