About the Role
- The Analytic Enablement and Operating Model (AEOM) team within Enterprise Analytics and Data Science (EADS) is seeking an Analytic Consultant (Analytic Enablement & Remediation) who will be responsible for executing through highly visible top of house, regulatory driven efforts. This role will assist in driving cultural change, ensuring data governance initiatives are understood and adopted by the organization. The individual contributor will execute engagement-specific objectives as delivered within a working group (POD) under a POD lead.The Analytic Consultant will partner with the data management team, data domain owners, data stewards, and sandbox business owners to ensure risks are appropriately identified and aligned to corresponding LOB ownership.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct recurring process data discovery for a set of lines of business primarily via facilitating assessment calls using standardized questionnaires or via pre-defined surveys
- Document information gathered during assessments including generating simplified architectural (data/process) flows to simplify understanding/consumption of findings
- Present information gathered to a cross-functional audience likely on a weekly cadence currently referred to as a disposition committee call
- Conduct data discovery and ingestion for remediation data elements to help identify recurring process risk inside of the legacy sandbox inventory
- Execute on the framework and process to discover and ingest remediation data elements into the current sandbox inventory process
- Lead efforts with business partners to identify risk and controls inside of analytic sandboxes
- Collaborate and partner with Control Executive, Senior Line of Business executives, Business Data Leaders, relationship managers and sandbox owners
Essential Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Business/technical process analysis in the technology, data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis domain
- 4+ years of experience delivering analytic, execution or operations value
- 3+ years of experience data management facets such as asset tagging, glossary management, data profiling, data lineage, and/or investigating data quality case management and root cause analysis
- Experience and knowledge in ETL technology on any of the major platforms, such as Informatica, Ab-Initio, or other comparable platforms
- Experience in database platforms (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server)
- Exposure to reporting and Business Intelligence methodologies and tools
- Understanding of SDLC including waterfall and agile methodologies
- Proficient in technical and non-technical documentation, diagrams and process flows
- Experience maintaining relationships with varying stakeholders and information experts across the enterprise
- Experience conducting research via tools, leveraging business and technical SMEs or other means in order to understand data environments and their associated risks
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats across varying audiences including but not limited to technology and business partners
- Experience with technology data platforms that provision sandboxes
- Experience working within a data governance organization responsible for specific data policies and procedures
