Load forecasting, fault prediction, renewable infusion into grid, SCADA, smart grid applications, billing, customer maintenance. These are only a few mentioned applications where we can easily apply data science in one form or other. Thus, we see that data science is being applied to enhance modern-day power system data analysis.

Role Profile and Key Responsibilities
Attend relevant Product reviews meetings: Understand and give recommendations on
the existing and upcoming products.
Work in close collaboration with Data Engineering team and present the functional
requirements.
Review Electrical documentation and specifications.
Responsible for follow-up with on-shore teams in understanding the Business
requirements and extract functional insights.
Responsible for performing data analytics and present meaningful recommendations
and insights for all other teams both on-shore and off-shore.

Skills/Experience Required to Perform Role

Essential Skills
Masters/Phd/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or similar with excellent understanding
of the basic electrical concepts and inclination to research.
Knowledge and understanding of Power system basics and Substation Architecture.
Ability to effectively interact and present technical requirements.
Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information

Desirable Skills
Basic programming skills. (C/C++/Python Knowledge).
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in Power Sector. (Planning/Protection/Renewables)
