IHS Markit Automotive Database team is looking for an Oracle database DBA with strong development background.
Role: Sr Developer DBA
Job Location: Gurgaon
Work Timings: 02:00pm to 11:00pm IST
Roles Responsibilities:
-
Excellent knowledge of Relational Database - Oracle
-
Designing the database structures for new projects, good understanding of data modeling.
-
Strong knowledge of Materialized views and query rewrite functionality
-
Install and Upgrade Oracle RAC Clusters
-
Develop PL SQL Packages, Procedures ,Functions, Triggers
-
Unix scripts for automatic processing of back end jobs
-
Maintenance of all database objects and purging process of large tables
-
Performance tuning which impacts the UI and back end jobs
-
Work in a team with multiple team members involved, communication with both on-shore and off-shore team members
-
Work on product support on analysis, fix and patch release process
-
Provide emergency production support to 24x7 SLA requirement mission critical operations.

Gathering the requirement from project manager or the technical leads
Education & Experience:
-
Degree in Computer Science or related field
-
8+ Years of hands on database development and DBA experience
Personal Competencies:

Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with debugging tools.

Should be willing to work as individual capacity and in teams across geographies.

Able to manage dependencies and timely manage priority.

Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Open minded, flexible and willing to adapt to changing situations.

Focused on delivery.

Must be an excellent communicator both written and verbally.

Must be a strong team player.
