We are currently seeking a SQL Server Admin to join our team in Bangalore, India.
Shift Timings: 3:30 PM IST to 1:30 AM IST
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing all types of backup and restore operations
- Administrating high availability solution like mirroring, replication and always on
- Space management and transactional log files
- Installing and configuring SQL server
- Setting up security policies and creating logins and roles
- Resolution of incidents, determination of Root Cause for higher priority incidents
Qualifications:
- 3 -8 years of experience in MS SQL Server admin
- Experience in m igration of MSSQL servers from 2008 to 2012 and 2016
- Experience in c onfiguring High Availability for MSSQL servers
- Setup d atabase replication and configure secondary databases , installation and maintenance
- Good d atabase b ackup and r ecovery skills
- Database d esign and s ecurity recommendations , applying monthly security patches
- Experience in DB p erformance monitoring and fine tuning
- Extending Data files, Shrinking data and log file - database troubleshooting skills
- Good written and communication skills
- Flexibility to work in shifts and weekend on-call
