JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Specialist III Sourcing
General Summary: This position will maintain business relationships with key manufacturers of Packing and packing related materials. This person will be responsible for Cost, Quality (in coordination with in-region support) and delivery service from respective suppliers. Should have knowledge in JIT and SAP.
Duties & Responsibilities:
We are looking for dynamic who could perform the role :
Provide leadership and on-going direction to material procurement from in region suppliers, Monthly forecast communication, Capacity planning and implementation
Resolve systemic problems (missing ASN, missing POA, delivery),Develop and drive performance measures and improvement plans. Management of CommScope resources at contract manufactures, Identify and relieve constraints in product supply chains
Drive supplier intervals to meet CommScope initiatives, Good knowledge on JIT and implementation at Supplier
Experience in different packaging material procurement and process knowledge.
Interface with materials management for proactive supply chain issues
Manage the day-to-day business relationship with key suppliers through supporting activities including ordering, communication of demand/ volume/ delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing of end-user feedback, follow up on back orders, etc.
Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of suppliers and capabilities.
Assist with contract development and execution
Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of good and services that meet the quality, service and price performance standards of the company
Identification and implementation of cost reductions.
Work with Management to report and supervise process compliance
Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses.
Should have good analytical skill and system knowledge
Expertise in SAP
Bachelor's in Engineering:
5+ yrs. Years of Related Experience
Skills required
Good knowledge in supply chain management.
Expertise in SAP
Exposure to packaging materials. Good in communication, costing, negotiation
