Summary
Directs the activities of a software systems development function, software applications development function, and a software quality assurance function for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

The Challenge

• Lead a team in evolving Acrobat for modern user experience with the objective of delighting the customer
• Bring more innovation in the current system to bring more robustness, ease and convenience
• Mentor and guide a high performing team
• Review, provide feedback and deliver on features, technology, architecture, designs, time & budget estimates, and test strategies
• Manage projects, mitigating risks & creative problem solving
• Develop and evolve engineering and business processes to optimize team efficiency
• Lead and influence the technology roadmap
• Lead and influence customer centricity charter - Increased app security and stability, snappy performance, connecting customer voice to technology roadmap
• Build the next generation document management based solutions by integrating cloud based services and frameworks in Acrobat/Reader.
• Drive the product in building the next generation of document creation tools.
• Develop security solutions for close to a billion Acrobat free users.

What you need to succeed

• 10+ year of hands on design / development experience, with 3-5 years of people management
• B.Tech or M.tech (in computer science and engineering) / MCA from a premier institute.
• Good understanding of object oriented design and knowledge of product life cycles and associated issues.
• Proficient in C++, data structures and algorithms.
• Exposure to SaaS and REST API would be an added advantage.
