MarkitServ provides an end-to-end solution for post-trade transaction management of credit, interest rate, equity, and foreign exchange derivatives. MarkitServ also connects dealers and buy-side institutions to central clearing counterparties, trade repositories, and electronic swap markets.
MarkitServ Operations provides operational day-to-day customer support for all services supported within the MarkitServ suite of products. They are also responsible for the new client setup and new process adherence for the external Buy Side and Dealer communities. They work closely with Product Management, Client Account Management, Business Development and IT to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries. The group is also responsible for incident reporting and escalation.
Position summary
We are looking for self-driven individuals with strong MIS skills and advanced excel and database management to join our growing analytics team within the Operations group. The successful candidate will responsible for the development, implementation and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) reports, Excel Reports, and other tools working with cross-functional teams across MarkitServ's suite of products.
The analytics team support Operations Management in providing transparancy across their key risk indicators in order to manage their business and maintain a robust control framework across the Global Implementation and Client Services teams. Duties & accountabilities
  • The duties and responsibilities of the MIS analyst include collecting, maintaining and analysing data and making this data accessible to those who need the information to streamline business processes.
  • Collaborating with the Global Ops senior management team to produce and streamline monthly MI to provide transparency around Client Service and Onboarding activity
  • Preparing reports and presenting these to management. Seeking feedback to improve and optimise
  • Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns.
  • Organising and transforming information into comprehensible structures. Using tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
  • Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
  • Identifying and recommending new ways to streamline metrics and controls.
  • Engagement with the broader Operations team to understand the business foundations/rationale of the key risk indicators
  • Leveraging experience with data analysis and business automation tools to improve/extend the suite of performance and business metrics available to the management team
Business competencies
Education and experience
  • University graduate preferred
  • 5+ years of experience required
  • Advanced Excel (Macros) and Data analytic tools (PowerBI / TableauBI) is a must
  • Experience with data analysis and business automation tools.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce application is a plus
  • Knowledge of OTC derivative products,Trade confirmations, and financial markets is an advantage but not a requirement
