Job Description
Develops and maintains software products while meeting quality standards for the end-user and company. Be part of the development team release by release. Participate in product requirements and development sessions. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyses and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyses test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with other engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
Responsibilities
. Develop and Maintain Desktop Apps that interact with cloud services
. Deliver the product releases, with highest quality
. Creation of test plan, test cases, testing optimisation strategy
. Executing automated and manual test cases
. Review, manage and enter clear, reproducible bug reports
. Work closely with architects and foundation engineers to develop services-based test frameworks.
. Work with DevOps to understand the customer pain points and help bring resolution to the issues.
Requirements
. Graduate in Comp Science or related field
. Good understanding of Scripting (Pearl/Python)/C/C++ or similar language.
. Experience of 2 to 5 years in software development
. Experience in developing and testing Desktop, mobile and Web applications - both front end and backend
. Relevant experience in related tech on Cloud side, SaaS
. Strong organisational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, challenging environment
. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
. Strong written and oral communication skills
