Project Management Skills
1. Working knowledge project management in a multi-disciplined and commercial environment
2. Working knowledge of project planning processes, techniques and methodologies
3. Stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict management skills and ability to identify and escalate issues
4. Ability to understand and manage project risks dealing with uncertainty, whilst being proactive and forward-looking
5. Understanding of core business objectives and drivers
6. May be working towards a recognized industry qualification, such as PMP, CSM
Responsibilities
1. Ensure that the project and programs are aligned to operational and strategic objectives
2. Responsible for gathering of relevant project data and must produce information to be presented for review by the management
3. Responsible for tracking the overall status of the project(s), assist in standardization of the compilation of information and ways of reporting the same to the management
4. Capture project requests and ensure each of those requests have enough relevant information that can aid in the assessment of that project
5. Maintaining an updated status of projects that are underway and those that have requests pending review. Implement prioritization and scoring models for better assessment of the requests that should be approved
6. Financial information about the budget, forecast, actuals, margins to determine the margin and profitability
7. Project risks and progress on mitigating these risks. Operational efficiency and project performance
8. Establish a real-time resource scheduling to accommodate the fast-changing ground reality. Track all types of work, i.e., project work, non-project work, vacation
9. Aligning with remote teams and bringing everyone on the same page. Completing task faster without unnecessary waiting. Communicating faster with the right person without chaos. Addressing urgent issues faster and effectively
10. Supporting new project managers on various ways an organization can run projects, ensure development and implementation of consistent as well as standardized business processes
11. Adopting common set of principles, practices, and templates for managing various organizational projects
12. Operate Project continuous improvement via Lessons learnt and post implementation review mechanisms
