DESCRIPTION:
A Test Lead should be able to independently work with client and also have flair to fulfil expectation set by customer satisfactorily. Should be a good mentor to build a team with great knowledge. Should able to conduct training sessions and help team to grow. Should be in a position to form sustainable relationships with team members demonstrating innovation, creativity and plan growth for team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Should possess in-depth understanding of testing methodologies
- Test planning, test plan reviews, Metrics collection Designs and develops testing tools.
- Agile process / Software Testing/ Service Delivery
- Develop & enhance Test plan to support different OS, Browsers etc.
- Defect Management & leading triage sessions
- Working with Dev Ops to define and set up test environments as needed
- Reviewing and managing the TC, TP and TE quality developed by the team
- Stakeholder co-ordination
- Support in on boarding New team members
- Work closely with product teams and product management to understand requirements and translate them in to test cases which capture all possible test conditions.
- Engage in cross team collaboration to enhance the test efficiency across the groups
- Interfacing with overseas counterparts frequently to resolve issues.
- Peer reviews for TC and TP to reduce test ability issues
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure conformance and adherence by team members to the processes established
- Managing, mentoring, evaluating performance and appraising direct reporters
- Defining and tracking the teams performance metrics
- Status reporting
- Delivery Risk Management
- Process Compliance and Documentation etc.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Test Execution

- UI Testing
- API Testing
- Security Testing
- Performance Testing
- All other Non-Functional Testing
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Creates a climate where team spirit thrives, involves team members in planning and goal setting activities, Sets the objectives clearly and clarify the role of each member, assigns tasks and monitors them, makes timely decisions, responds in time, periodically reports status to managers. Prepare test cases for complex business functionality
- Should be able to motivate team members to give their best and find ways to reduce attrition
- Establish better control on team activities and deliver on promises and commitments made to clients
- Ability to interact with overseas customers to gather requirements related to new features, new modules, interfaces and product enhancements
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10+ Years leading test teams and minimum 4 years of experience as lead
- Designed, reviewed and maintained test scripts. Developed reusable utilities to embed in framework
- Experience in performing Software Testing and Application testing

- Should have fair knowledge of different testing tools
- Working knowledge in developing unit test cases and the surrounding test environment
