2 Job Description
Manage multiple projects with little supervision Analyze and validate all order information,
partner with suppliers to resolve issues Provisioning
Manage circuit completion in the network while maintaining working knowledge of telco practices and procedures, current technology and abiding by required SLA's.
This position is responsible for configuration, pre-mapping, physical and logical layer test and turn up activities for customer circuits.
Should also have a thorough understanding of telephony principles, routing protocols such as static, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and for value-add services such as Class of Service (COS), multipath, and multicast.
3 Roles and Responsibilities
Working knowledge of support systems (NIMS, FMS, SOF , IMS etc) required for Provisioning and Network Design of Ethernet circuits.
This position is responsible for new configuration, migration, upgrades, and logical/physical layer testing of Ethernet Backhaul or NNI circuits.
Should also have a thorough understanding of routing protocols such as static, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and for value add services such as Class of Service (COS), multipath, and multicast.
Track and monitor equipment resources in conjunction with Sprint Network Planning Groups Notify the appropriate organizations of equipment and capacity needs
Analyze and validate all order information and work with suppliers to resolve complex issues Provision install, disconnect, and cancel orders in NIMs etc. without assistance
Place orders with the appropriate Access Provider vial Access Service Request (ASR) or established ordering process
Maintain a working knowledge of telco practices and procedures and current technology (ASOG, Industry Standards)
Knowledge of access circuit pre-configuration, logical mapping ,testing & troubleshooting (Ciena, Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Samsung) with various Local exchange carriers.
4 Experience and Academic Qualification
Provisioning experience of 0-2 years (can be with other telco) Knowledge of telephony/telecom
MS Office i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word Knowledge of network and elements.
Knowledge of system requirements and their interface
Basic knowledge of Transmission/IP/Ethernet/SPA-E
Preferred:
Degree in Engineering/Telecom/Electronics and Communication
Working knowledge of support systems required for Provisioning and Network Design of migration of circuits
Knowledge of telco practices, procedures, and current technology. (ASOG, Industry standards) Ability to manage multiple projects
Ability to exercise flexibility and resourcefulness in challenging situations.
