Role Description
In this role, you will join Corporate Bank Operations Global Initiatives (CB GI), reporting to the Director, Head of Operations Automation, who in turn reports to the Managing Director, Head of Global Initiatives. Global Initiatives is the strategy and change group for Corporate Bank (CB) Operations and stands alongside the CB Business and Technology to ensure consistent delivery through the provision of Program Management Governance, Practices and Training, also in line with the Ag**e@Sc**e implementation.

Your key responsibilities
  • Support the engagement with business sponsors and key stakeholders, optimizing their portfolio delivery and ROI.
  • Implement consistent milestones, closure criteria, and success measures, holding review meetings to assess program health, and ensuring updates are reflected in appropriate repositories. They will oversee program leads/portfolio owners in maintaining project status, risks and issue resolution, dependency management, change controls and decision coordination.
  • Set up and manage monthly and quarterly key deliverable metrics tracking including status, benefits, risks, milestones, and change requests
  • Provide effective QA and challenge plans, controls, risks, issues, dependencies and status where appropriate. Proactively highlight and, where appropriate, escalate key delivery risks and issues to GI, and ensure strong Audit trail of presentation artifacts is maintained to support the program management standards.
  • Ensure alignment to the Corporate Bank's Ag**e@Sc**e Framework.
  • Own the comprehensive reporting calendar covering all internal and external communications and reporting for respective programs.
  • Actively support the CB Divisional strategy, plans and values, contributing to the achievement of a high-performance culture, with programs and business cases aligned to strategic objectives and appropriate returns on investment.
  • Support information sharing and learning across the CB Business, Operations & Technology community.

Your skills and experience
  • DB applicants: experience with dbClarity tool and familiarity with managing a Key Deliverable
  • Demonstrable significant experience in supporting multiple large-scale transformation programs to successful conclusions.
  • Resilient and flexible, with the talent to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet competing and/or changing deadlines.
  • Proven ability to effectively assess and mitigate enterprise risk.
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively influence, challenge, communicate, and partner with teammates, workstream leads, and all levels of seniority and diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in the refinement, deployment, and general usage of standard program and governance methods.
  • Keen eye for detail with a focus on quality control.
  • Ability to understand broad business issues and their strategic implications to make sound recommendations.
  • Ability to articulate strategy and long-term objectives to others across the Bank in an engaging and collaborative manner.
