Inviting applications for the role of Cloud Migration Engineer where we are looking for a candidate with a solid focus on Infrastructure and Applications to help our customers embrace private, public and hybrid cloud solutions. You will help customers defining their cloud strategy and architect and implement specific solutions as customers move to Microsoft Azure/AWS or other cloud platforms. This is a highly technical customer-facing delivery role that will be accountable for the design and deliver end-to-end customer cloud implementation and deployment experience. Candidate must be a specialist in Azure Cloud or AWS offerings and comfortable discussing solutions with clients.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you would be responsible for
- Collaborating with customers to resolve technical requirements, feasibility, and expectations.
- Large scale data center migration
- Implementation of architectural governance and proactively managing issues and risks throughout the delivery life cycle.
- Disciplines enterprise software development such as configuration & release management, source code & version controls, and operational considerations such as monitoring and instrumentation
- Migration of public clouds such as AWS and Azure.
- Strategizing with prospects and customers to develop solutions based on a variety of criteria including a clear description of services, functionality, scalability, future-proofing, and cost.
- Partnering with the sales team to help qualify opportunities, resolve strategy and close deals.
- Crafting and communicating compelling solutions that urge prospects to take the desired action.
- Design Cloud-based solutions using cloud computing architectural procedures that typically consist of front-end platform, back end platforms, cloud-based delivery, and a network.
- Implement cloud computing architecture solutions that address cloud security and compliance fundamentals, deployment automation and elastic sizing of environments, and multi-tenant implications
- Design and implement multi-tier architecture solution that is highly available and fault-tolerant using Azure/AWS platform services
- Design and effective cloud computing solutions that consider an organizations structure, communications, and operational business processes, including financial management and cost model implications
- Innovate the process of migrating and transitioning to a cloud environment
- Lead the implementation of the cloud to ensure a successful deployment
- Ability to use wide variety of open source technologies.
- Experience in automation/configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Saltstack, Bosh, Terraform or an equivalent.
- Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or equivalent
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL DBs such as SQL, MySQL, Amazon DynamoDB.
- Solid understanding of networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and routing in distributed networks.
- A working understanding of code and script such as: PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby.
- A working understanding with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or equivalent
- A working understanding of scheduling and orchestration with tools such as: kubernetes, Mesos swarm or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge about AIPs designing RESTful services and integrated with other providers.
- Have a fully-flexible approach to working hours and working away from home during the week; willing to work nationally, with the potential to work internationally if desired.
- Experience with cloud migration technologies such as AWS SMS, Azure Migrate, Plate Spin, Cloud Endure.
- AWS or Azure trained / certified architect e.g. Amazon Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional Level
- Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience of integrating public cloud into tradition hosting/delivery models
- Strong understanding of cloud migration techniques and workflows (on premise to Cloud Platforms)
- Configuration, migration and deployment experience in three or more of the following:
- AWS apps technologies such as RDS, Elastic Beanstalk
- Azure or AWS IaaS Technologies
- Deployed applications with Web UI front ends
- Deployed application with RESTful/SOAP services interfaces
- Experience building private AMI s on VPC s
- Experience in AWS IAAC services,AWS Fargate,ALB,ECS,EC2,S3
- LAMP Stack and Linux experience
- High Availability and Disaster recovery implementations
- Experience architecting and deploying multi-tiered applications.
- Experience in architecting security architectures across infrastructure and applications
- Experience building and deploying multi-tier, scalable, and highly available applications using Java, Microsoft and Database technologies
- Experience in performance tuning, including the following ; (load balancing, web servers, content delivery Networks, Caching (Content and API))
- Good understanding of application architectures
- Experience using database technologies like Oracle, MySQL i and understanding of NoSQL, MongoDB is preferred.
- Experience automation experience with either Chef or Puppet
- Experience in designing or implementing data warehouse solutions is highly preferred.
- Experience in migrating Java Apps,Other Technology Apps,Jboss etc
- Proven experience of workload migrations to Azure
- Possession of Azure Microsoft certifications.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, networking and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Administration experience in Windows Servers and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Experience in Azure Site Recovery, Azure Migrate and/or Microsoft MAP Toolkit
- Experience in one or more DevOps tooling: Azure ARM, Terraform, PowerShell, DSC, Azure Automation, Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, Github, Kubernetes
- Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools
