Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager-Servers Patching Engineer
This role contributes to the success of the Enterprise Compute vertical by adding more teeth and power to our current group and ensure we work closely with all the global teams
Responsibilities
Responsible for server (both Windows and Linux) patching
Assess and test patches
Coordinate with other IT team to perform testing
Provide technical support on all, including complex issues - liaising with customer representatives or vendors and supporting/directing other support staff where appropriate. This will include the support of new and existing products that come under the responsibility of the team.
Handle both re-active (customer call) and pro-active (monitoring) incidents
Handle standard change request, according to our change control and risk review process.
Ensure security patches are applied to all affected servers according to company policy
Patching monthly progress report.
Ensure correct installation, configuration, use and maintenance of Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Tanium platform.
Package, test and deploy automated applications installations and patches within the SCCM and Tanium.
Bring Industry best practices to ensure operational stability.
Work on Service improvement projects across in partnership with internal and partner teams
Explore opportunities to optimize the resources
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject
Relevant experience in patch deployment, software rollouts, configuration, and troubleshooting
Should have good understanding with extensive hands-on experience on Windows and Linux Servers.
Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
Ability to work with multiple teams with multi-geo distribution in multiple countries.
Ability to maintain a lab environment for training, testing of new services and support of customers.
