- Build, support and mentor effective teams
- Hands-on; write code, peer review and test alongside your teams
- Advocate best practices and principles within your organization
- Work closely with a Lead Test Engineer on Test Engineering Strategy
- Champion good agile practices that are foundational to product delivery
- Facilitate a diverse, inclusive and collaborative working environment where everyones ideas and opinions are equally valued
- Build strong relationships with product owners, solutions architects, analysts and pod leadership
- Work with state-of-the-art technologies to solve genuine, real-world problems
- Contribute to thought leadership and strategy for the Software Engineering organisation
What you will bring:
- For the Lead Engineer role, we are looking for a Senior Engineer with at 13- 15 years of experience in software engineering
- The ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment
- Proven track record of successfully delivering software with a broad mix of languages, technologies and platforms
- Strong people management skills with the ability to build collaborative and innovative teams
- Provide opportunities, training, and mentorship to software engineers to help create and traverse career pathways
- Experience working with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with cloud-native software architectures
- Proven experience in Security driven design practices and the remediation of SAST/DAST findings
- Experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices including the use of Quality Gates to maintain high levels of code
Technical Skills Required:
Must have skills
- Broad experience across multiple programming languages and frameworks with in-depth skills of web development using
- C# .NET
- .NET Core
- Web API
- Angular
- Typescript
- HTML
- JavaScript
- Node .JS
- Strong experience working withOracle DB
- Practiced experience refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, system and application design, application security
- Strong experience working with a source control systems such as Azure DevOps/TFS, GitHub or Bitbucket
- The ability to apply Patterns and Practices to real world use cases
- The ability to create high level and low-level design documents.
- Collaboration with infrastructure team
- Experience writing automated unit and E2E test cases
- Experience writing code for shared libraries, windows services, web services using C# .NET
Good to have skills
- Knowledge of SQL Server
- Experience designing and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure with providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
- Reporting and BI tools like Informatica
- Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
