The SAP Application Developer is a technical role with a strong technical and functional expertise in areas of ABAP and its Integrations. The developer is responsible to involve in understanding requirements, technical design, development and unit testing. The developer should be capable of supporting SAP systems and developing programs with quality, efficiency and reliability. The developer will provide oversight and guidance to the technical team including onsite and offshore resources. The developer is expected to be hands on for all development work and in the implementation of complex technical activities and issues.

About the role:

• Hands-on developing SAP Applications based on Business requirements
• Analyze business requirements to develop new applications or enhance existing applications
• Collaborate with other teams to identify need to create or enhance custom applications for specific business function
• Adhere to industry and architecture standards when creating or enhancing the applications
• Review written code, perform unit testing and deploying the applications across the landscapes

About you:

• Should have 7+ years of SAP Application Development
• Should have good exposure to SAP R/3 system and experience in ABAP/4 Programming Techniques and object oriented programming (OO ABAP), Webdynpro ABAP, ABAP on Hana programming, Business rules framework
• Require knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, B4Hana, SAP UI5/FIORI
• Hands-on SAP ABAP programming, de-bugging and testing .
• Perform maintenance, enhancement and/or development work of SAP components and those that interface with other applications
• Hands-on in utilizing ABAP Workbench, DDIC object, BAPI, BADI, RFC, ALE/EDI, IDOCs, ALV Grids, SPROXY framework, Performance Trace
• Exposure to modules like Sales and Distribution (SD), Material Management (MM), Finance and Costing(FICO)
• Good understanding of RAR, ARIBA procurement and sourcing, CIG -Cloud integration gateway,
• Proficiency in using ABAP/4 tools (Eg., Menu Painter, Screen Painter, Debugging Tools Function Modules) and performance tuning for better response time.
• Data conversions and data uploading from legacy system to SAP system using BDC (Batch data communication), LSMW.
• Create and enhance SAP scripts and SMARTFORMS
• Ready to work individually in analyzing the Functional Specifications, Coding, Testing, Reviews adhering to the Quality management system guidelines.
