Component Design Engineers are responsible for the design and development of electronic components.
Responsibilities may include: the design of chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, device evaluation and characterization, documentation of specifications, prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components, performing developmental and/or test work, reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
In this role you will build high level performance and functional models of new silicon architectures and networks. You will work closely with other architects and analyze bandwidths to optimize the performance.
You will work closely with memory subsystems, IO Subsystems, Application accelerators and network-on-chip interconnect to model the system behaviour and performance of these subsystems. You will model various workloads and applications to test the system behaviour, identify system bottlenecks and architecture exploration.
You will propose Architecture changes working with application, subsystem and SOC architects.You will write these models in C/C /System C in a industry standard tools and environments.You will have 10-15 years of experience in modelling complex subsystems, and experience with silicon design and architecture.
