. Role: QA Automation Test Engineer
Description:
The job involves automating test scripts, amendments to the existing test scripts, maintenance of test scripts and execution of regression testing for the web-based applications.
Quality Assurance/Testing Analyst->> Assists in the preparation and execution of automation scripts using selenium with java of new or modified applications/systems across multiple computing environments (e.g. Java Web based & .Net application). Assists in developing test plans and test scripts. Performs regression, smoke & functional testing activities, based on test plans and scripts. Assists in analyzing systems requirements for straightforward projects using established procedures. Helps resolve basic problems detected in testing. Assists in product migration in all systems environments through executing the scripts and publishing the results for an evidence to quality control team. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline & 1-2 years of experience in Selenium with Java required, experience in API & Database testing is an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Automating test scripts using test automation framework (SAFS/SAFU)
- Quickly able to learn & understand core applications that the scripts are automated against and provide context to any failures
- To be able understand, follow and query test scripts, in order to automate
- Investigating issues as a result of testing
- Maintaining the automated test scripts
- Regression testing of applications
- An ability to work independently; designing, developing and deploying solutions with minimal direction
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science (B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.) or related field required. Advanced technical degree and/or related training a plus
- Basics of Java/HTML/VBScript/.Net/Object Capturing Language skills and experience preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in software testing
- Strong, confident & clear verbal and written communication skills with Global locations and subject matter expertsProficient in MS Office tool
- Analytical skills, innovation & problem solving and ability to multi task with stringent deadlines
