We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager, Insurance AnalyticsResponsibilities- Build BI and reporting solutions to bring out patterns and trends from the data including Data warehousing, Data modeling, ETL, etc.
- Extract and transform data from appropriate sources in a complex warehousing environment via scripting in Access, SQL, Oracle, Teradata, IBM-DB2, etc.
- Combine data extracted from multiple sources into a unified data mart for consumption of predictive modelers/data scientists, data preparation automation, and analysis
- Create additional data attributes under guidance from data scientists /domain experts
- Support building of predictive model R / Python
Minimum qualifications
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field
- Advanced working BI tool knowledge and experience working with Power BI/ Tableau / Qlik
- Data preparation using relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
- Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Good analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
- A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data data stores
- Good project management and organizational skills
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Relevant experience in a BI Reporting role
- Experience with BI tools: Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
- Experience with ETL tools: IBM data stage, Informatica, etc.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: VBA, Power Query, Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
- Experience with front-end UI development tools: Angular JS, Node JS, etc.
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift
