Job Description
QC Head Mumbai
Professional requirements
- Should have at least 25 years of experience in project execution out of which minimum 20 years should be in QA / QC
- He should have held senior positions reporting to top management for at least 15 years.
- Should have good customer focus& he should strive to achieve highest standards of customer satisfaction.
- Should be a good team leader who can lead the time & take the team members along with him by establishing good systems & processes.
- Should be a good manager & should be able to resolve any conflicts on technical matters in an amicable manner.
- Should have good communication skills to deal with various Consultants, Contractors, Architects & Industry Experts.
- MNC experience is not a must & but can be added advantage.
- Should have skill &knowledge to train the engineers and should be able to conduct training sessions efficiently with elan & ease.
Technical requirements
- Should be a B.E. or M-Tech in civil engineering. Qualification like Lead Auditor, Green Building Professional etc will be added advantage.
- Should be a concrete technologist with good knowledge about concrete mix design, practical ways of dealing with concrete mixes. Should be able to make good durable concrete.
- Knowledge of various concrete production & placement methods and establishing a batching plant & running the same efficiently.
- Should have worked with erecting high rise towers at least some of them should be not less than 40 to 60 stories.
- Should have knowledge of all material testing methods, types of material for various engineering tasks, technical know how of the use of materials.
- Knowledge of IS codes, ASTMs & other international codes & procedures.
- Concrete tests including NDT.
- Designing of various concrete mixes & practical solutions for deviations in concrete mix results.
- Should have good knowledge about start to finish of all building & infra works.
- Develop innovative ideas & solutions wherever possible to improve safety, quality & speed of work.
- Should demonstrate skills to deliver the product with best quality in time whatever be odds.
- Able to implement ISO systems & Green building based construction systems.
- Should be able to improve existing systems further by analysing root causes for deviations & implementing preventive actions.
- Should be able to establish the QC set up: staff,Office, equipment & QC lab.
VP Quality / MR Responsibilities:
To monitor Site QC Engineer -In-charges operation and activities.
To maintain High quality standards at all project sites & ensuring quality culture within the group.
To ensure correct design mix of concrete at all project sites and to check that concreting procedures are followed as per the check list.
To ensure shuttering and reinforcement details are followed as per RCC consultants drawings and instructions.
To ensure that check list in respect of finishing items like masonry, plastering, tiling, plumbing, waterproofing, etc. are followed.
To inform the Director regarding the status of implementation of Quality Plan and any major deviations with respect to Quality with regard to laid down norms.
To impart training to the selected staff and to upgrade their engineering knowledge from time to time.
To intimate all concerned regarding the list of deviations in their project and to make them arrange to rectify the same.
To advice all concerned regarding the quality and environmental standards to be maintained in the materials and services in the company projects.
To arrange to establish QC Lab set up at various sites and to ensure Lab procedures with respect to various Test methods are followed.
To advise all concerned regarding the New materials which can be adopted in our construction work and to encourage product innovations.
To run the foundation training centre which imparts basic Engineering training and practical aspects to all the new entrants.
To analyze any major post construction defects and to suggest solutions and remedial majors for the future projects.He shall establish, implement & maintain the processes needed for IMS & take all responsibilities as MR of the company.
VP Quality / MR Authority:
Approval of Raw materials, In process Construction work and Final Inspection of Project site against Quality Plans, architect Design, RCC Consultants design.
Approval of shuttering and reinforcement work as per RCC consultants drawings and instructions.
To analyze repetitive major customer complaints and plan corrective Preventive action for the same.
To analyzeNon conformance at construction site and plan corrective and preventive actions for the same.
To ensure project execution job meets the specifications and drawings.
To coordinate with Project Heads & ensure settlement of external complaints if any.
