Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities will include:
Network Engineer/ Security Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and integration of the corporate WAN, LAN and server architecture.
Individual will also be responsible for implementation and administration of network security hardware and software,enforcing the network security policy and complying with the requirements of external security audits and recommendations.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Knowledge of DC technologies and devices like Nexus 9K, Nexus 7K, Nexus 7K/, VPC, VDC, FEX, VSS, Cisco cat 2900, 3700,3800, etc.
  • Strong Understanding of Security and VPN Paloalto, traffic inspection, NAT, Site-to-Site IPS VPNs, AAA, Radius, TACACS+, Access Lists, 802.1x, DMVPN,etc.
  • Understanding of IOS Features and Services HSRP, NAT, SNMP, SYSLOG, NTP,DHCP, CDP, TFTP and FTP Management, Netflow etc.
  • Strong knowledge layer 2 technologies like VTP, STP, MST, RSTP+, Trunking, VLANs, Layer 3 Switches, Logical Ether Channels etc
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and on-site.
  • Maintaining and administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Proven work experience as a network security engineer.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining security systems.
  • Thorough understanding of the latest technologies, security principles, and protocols.
  • Complete command on dealing with security systems, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, anti-virus software, log management, authentication systems, content filtering, etc.
  • Understanding
  • of the web-related terminologies and software such as web applications, web related protocols, service-oriented architectures, and web services.
  • Ability to work under pressure and stressful scenarios.
  • Ability to communicate and report network security incidents and issues to the upper management.
  • Network engineer certifications such as CCNA and CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional Security), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • Must have experience on PaloAlto and Fortinet firewalls.
  • Good understanding of Wireless network as well, experience with Ruckus wireless is an advantage.
  • Reporting
