Position Purpose:
The position of Manager/ Sr, Manager RD Support serves as the backend support for the Corporate
Fundraising team under the Resource Development Department
Scope of work
Monitoring & Support
Responsible to monitor and publish the MIS reports on funds raised and pipeline for corporate fundraising team
Support the corporate fundraising team through Periodic reviews and problem solving with internal stakeholders throughout the project inception, implementation and donor reporting stages
Guide and support the Corporate Fundraising team for donor presentations, meetings and organizational events
Provide resource development inputs for various meetings with internal and external stakeholders such as Advisory Board, Board of Trustees, the organisation International teams, partner organizations, solution providers and vendors
Proposal Development
Lead a team of proposal developers whose key responsibilities include development of proposals for various donor segments- corporates, individuals and institutions
Enable proposal developers to liaise with cross-functional teams. The Liaison touch points are as follows:
Desk Research Secondary data, assessment study, concept notes
Programs & Operations team primary data, cost estimates, design, beneficiary details
PDME team technical inputs, costs estimate evaluation
Finance team for any financial inputs
Review and approve proposal narratives and budgets
Be a custodian for all proposals and maintain and track the same
Other requirements
Teamwork - the incumbent must work closely and reliably with colleagues in various departments in the organization as whole. Almost every project will require input and ideas from cross-functional units
Planning and organizing - the incumbent will be required to manage a team of proposal developers and also work independently on certain tasks/activities with minimal supervision
Prioritize work to ensure that goals are realized within planned timeframes
Willing to travel to project locations and for organizational events as and when required
Skills Competencies
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in end to end donor lifecycle management including acquisition, relationship management and retention
At least 3-5 years of experience in proposal writing and budgeting for various segments (corporates, HNIs and Institutions) in various mediums offline and online
Should have managed a team of at least 2-3 members
Strong coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Proficiency in English language (reading and writing)
Proficiency in MS - Word, PowerPoint and MS-Excel
Minimum 5 years of experience in the development sector; however candidates from other sectors with appropriate skills will be considered
Good interpersonal skills
Result oriented and aligned to work towards achieving stringent timelines
Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with changing priorities
Knowledge of interventions in Housing, WASH, Disaster response will be an added advantage
