Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Electronics Technician is broadly responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying SMT electronic productions like wireless router equipment, parts, components, and systems according to engineering instructions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs complex technical functions such as circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic components and systems.
- Works from with or without schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.
- Diagnoses and isolates equipment and system malfunctions.
- Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron.
- Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of DMM, Power supply, soldering/De-soldering, electronic systems and SMT components.
- Knowledge of using Windows OS, MS office.
- Analyzes and interprets test data.
- Contribute to team effort by performing other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.
Electronics Technician Requirements:
- Diploma or ITI in engineering or electronics at least 1+ year of working experience in SMT rework and component.
- Competency in repairing, electronic circuit testing, troubleshooting and manufacturing at component level.
- Passion for Electronics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
