Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Data Scientist who enjoy discovering hidden patterns buried in unruly piles of information and help prove the value of the analytics use cases before passing it on to the operationalization team. He / She must have data science capabilities to run hypothesis testing use cases in the advanced analytics area. We are looking for candidates who have performed both data engineering and data science work. He / She must be from technical background and should have good exposure in the public cloud (preferably AWS).
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Expertise in working with a broad range of health data types.
- Knowledge of privacy-enforcing mechanisms, predictive analytics, exploratory analysis.
- Familiarity with big data techniques, statistical and machine learning techniques, and associated cloud tooling (e.g., SQL, Spark, TensorFlow) or the ability to quickly pick these up.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Applied Math is preferred.
- 5+ years experience in data engineering tools using Python, R, Scala, Java in the public cloud.
- Familiarity with information retrieval patterns as they pertain to data warehouses and cloud storage.
- Familiarity with machine learning and statistical inference technologies and staying abreast of technology trends and scientific research.
Good to Haves:
- Data wrangling with Alteryx, RapidMiner, Power Query
- Hands-on experience with R, SAS, Python
- Strong statistical background with hands on experience in: Logistic and Linear Regression, Clustering and Segmentation, Time Series forecasting, Exploratory Data Analysis
- Experience in healthcare projects
