Job Description:
The Cloud Solution Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of efficient applications and services for cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
Design, Architect and deploy cloud solutions that meet customer needs for scalability, reliability, performance & cost effectiveness
Desired Candidate Profile:
Required Experience: 8 years to 15 years
- Provides implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs
- Demonstrate architectural best practices applied across a breadth of technologies to solve organizational problems, articulate views/roadmaps for future development, and understand the interaction between infrastructure, operations, and development
- Provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems for high availability running on AWS utilizing Linux, Windows etc.
- Responsible for the design and implementation of solutions, build release, deployment, configuration and maintenance activities
- Automate the deployment and configuration of the virtualized infrastructure and the entire software stack
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations
- Provides root cause analysis of Cloud solution problem conditions and/or customer production outages
- Performs product performance testing and tuning of complex and high-traffic systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test and production environments
- Responsible for performance monitoring, analysis, capacity planning & scalability
- Other responsibilities include gathering requirements, prototyping, updating solutions, R&D, triaging and fixing operational issues
- Leverages and helps drive automation tools roadmap to increase availability, performance and reduce support demands
- Advice and assist operations and software engineering to improve uptime, reduce service incidents and accelerate software deployments
- Mentor/Guide/share ideas/thoughts with other team members.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Thorough understanding of infrastructure - Networking, Firewalls, Security, Load balancers, CDN, Hypervisor, Storage, Databases, Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Iaas, Paas, Saas, Cloud delivery models.
- Strong practical Linux and Windows- based systems administration skills
- Hands-on-experience in AWS and Windows Azure cloud.
- Excellent experience in scripting for monitoring/deployment using these Configuration Management tools; Puppet, Chef or Ansible to automate task/deployment/installs
- Hands-on-experience on Build Management tools like Jenkins, Hudson, and Bamboo etc.
- Should have experience in deploying new releases on multiple servers using shell-scripts
- Understanding of version control systems (GIT) & SVN including branching and merging recipes
- Experience with Open Source and commercial load balancers such as Nginx, Haproxy or Amazon ELB
- Implementing zero-downtime deployments in a load balanced multi-server environment
- Good knowledge of Windows and Linux platform
- Strong programming skills in shell, Perl scripting language
- Strong Virtualization skills preferably on AWS
- Depth knowledge on AWS Cloud services like - EC2 , RDS , S3 , CloudWatch , VPC , DevOPS , ElasticBean s, CloudFront , Route 53, CloudFormation , AWS Import/Export , AWSIAM , CloudTrai l, etc.
- Good understanding of RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server), NoSQL
- Broad understanding of technologies like web servers, proxies, DNS, email, PKI, Firewalls, networking infrastructure
- Storage knowledge (SAN, NAS) will be added advantage
- Disaster Recovery and fail-over strategies
- Good to have AWS Solution Architect or Azure Infra Solution Architect Certification
- Customer-focused, with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers and build effective relationships
- Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
- Self-motivated with an ability to thrive under pressure
- Good spoken and written communication skills with creative problem solving skills
- Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
