Job Description:
Desired Skills &&
Experience:
10+ years of total IT experience including 3+ years of coding experience in JAVA-SPARK
- Able to clearly understand the requirements and code them in JAVA-SPARK
- Must have HANDS-ON experience, and be able to contribute as a DEVELOPER + TECHICALLY lead
the design discussions
- Must be able to lead a group of team members, and own their deliveries
- Should be able to map the client expectations and proactively drive client communications &&
discussions
- Experience in Spark Batch&& Streaming, Kafka, Spark SQL, Hive, SQOOP, HBase and Java/Scala
are must. PySpark preferred though a good Spark Scala talent can be considered.
- Experience in design / co-designing large scale ETL workload migration from traditional ETL (Ab
Initio / Informatica) to Spark
- Sound concepts of Data warehousing and ETL. Ability to understand mapping document and
translate the same to Spark SQL programs
- Hands on functional programming like Scala, Java 8 prior to Big Data projects.
- Experience in designing and leading Big Data projects, designing data models on Hive and HBase
for high-performance and storage.
- Executed multiple Hadoop data lake projects (batch && streaming real time data) and led the
developers team alongside Architect && Project Manager in onshore offshore model
- Proficient in Linux/Unix scripting.
- Experience in Agile methodology is a must.
- Knowledge of standard methodologies, concepts, best practices, and procedures within Amazon
EMR Big Data environment is a plus.
- Sound knowledge of SQL Programming (Good knowledge of Teradata or Db2 or Netezza or
Oracle)

- Excellent leadership skills with ability lead and guide and groom the team.
- Excellent team player, able to work with virtual teams.
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic start-up environment.
- Able to talk to client directly and report to client && leadership teams.

- Flexible to travel and relocate in India and Abroad.
