Inviting applications for the role Management Trainee, Property & Casualty Insurance
In this role, you are expected to have good knowledge of underwriting support work for P&C Insurance clients.
Responsibilities
Manage teams and service level targets.
Guide direct reports, comprised of associates and SMEs, span exp of 12-15 FTEs
Monitor, analyze, and report on trends in the key performance drivers for team
Leading weekly/monthly/quarterly discussions on operations with client stakeholders
Understanding of risks faced by the function and the controls in place to manage and mitigate risks
Ensuring clarity around priorities and goals for the entire functional area
Ability to function effectively in a team environment exercising good judgment
Facilitating goal-level creation for the broader function and works with managers to ensure the goals cascade to all associates
Guiding the talent identification and development processes for a function.
Approving hiring and redeployment requests within his/her group
Queue Management Effectively managing and monitoring queue
Performing Quality Audits and sharing detailed feedback for maintaining quality standards.
Root Cause Analysis on escalations received
Very good problem-solving skills & attention to detail.
Ability to accurately interpret and compile information from a variety of sources and systems
Ability to function effectively in a team environment exercising good judgment
Ability to meet outlined and expected standards of timeliness and accuracy in completion of work
Thoroughly review incoming requests and policy issuance information for completeness. Record and refer those that are outside the guidelines to the underwriting department for approval.
Provide quality control and assembly for all types of policies and endorsements generated by the business unit.
Ensure that turnaround time and quality of documents meets Company service standards
Provide customer service to underwriters, operations staff across the country(s), and other functions within Travelers. Contact internal resources to research and resolve issues
Take ownership for work-in-progress issues as an individual and team member by continuously looking for ways to improve/streamline work and procedures, which increase the efficiency of the team.
Manage own work in process and support team efforts to ensure that individual, team, and office goals are met of performing quality audits
Should be responsible for weekly/monthly reporting to both internal management and client stakeholders
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
Any Graduate
Relevant experience in Underwriting support function for P&C Insurance Industry (Intake Claims)
People span exp of 7+ FTEs
Communication Good Written and spoken Communication Skills
Excel Skills Intermediate
MS Word- Intermediate
Preferred qualifications
Preferred Certification: AINS, IIA, CIP, CPCU
Onsite transition experience.
Green Belt certification
React proactively, positively, patiently and effectively for seeking clarifications, have a customer centric approach in problem solving
Excellent processing skills and a positive, can do attitude.
