Job Description
Manager Data Scientist
In this role, you will be responsible for solving business problems like forecasting, segmentation, classification using statistical and data science techniques. The data scientist is expected to have proven experience as a data scientist with extensive experience in analytical modelling and is able to work independently right from understanding the business problem through the development & deployment of models. Experience in life sciences and health care industry preferred.
We re looking for a technically sound and who is interested in working within customer environment. Core data analytics work experience in CPG for minimum 8+ years with hands on technical skills Python, R and Excel + VBA
Work location: Bangalore
Responsibilities
Lead complex analytics and consulting projects for a large US based beverage client
Liaison with client and onshore team to understand complex business problem and define solution
Build PoVs, help structure POCs, front-end clients, and respond to RFP/RFIs
Interact with the business to identify use cases to be solved
Define end to end solution for business problems including technology architecture
Lead a team of data scientists in scoping, planning, estimation, scheduling and delivery
Define SCQ, question tree and hypothesis matrix to solve any complex business problem
Engage in all aspects of project management: project scoping, planning, estimation, scheduling, resourcing, quality and delivery
Developing advanced statistical models, machine learning methods (Random Forest, Decision Trees, SVM, NLP, Gradient Boosting, Supervised/Unsupervised Learning, Clustering, classification and regression modeling) & deploying these models
Mentor and coach team members on problem solving, data science tools and techniques, and mange performance
Performing data analysis by integrating data from different data sources
Understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation
Ensure delivery of projects within timelines
Good hands on experience in Python/R, SQL, Excel + VBA, visualization tools preferred not mandatory (PowerBI or Tableau), MS Excel, MS-power point (for delivering insights and results)
Collaborating with engineering teams to develop prototypes and software products that can be deployed across varied environments (e.g., cloud, on-premises, devices, etc.)
Domain experience in pharmaceutical/CPG Company or KPO.
Provide increased focus on analytics and emphasize on providing valuable insights to drive improvement opportunities
Effectively respond to requests for ad hoc analyses.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ownership of tasks assigned without supervisory follow-up
Proactive planner and can work independently to manage own responsibilities
Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
Master s or bachelor s in engineering - BE/B- Tech, BCA, MCA, BSc/MSc
Master s in science or related
