Desired Candidate Profile
3+ years of hands on Quality Assurance/engineering testing experience in a Java, Cloud application environment testing user interfaces, backend database, micro services, APIs, Batch/ETL application components.Required Candidate profile
Responsibilities- Support design, develop and implementation of automated testing framework. Develop and implement testing practices and tools as part of the framework which ensure releases are defect-free and perform at or better than expected levels.
- Automate dev testing, QA, regression and sanity test cases as part of project feature delivery lifecycle.
- Build test harnesses for Automation Testing including automation test scripts creation, configuration, setting up environments, executing runs, reporting and tracking results and defects for micro services, data object and application workflows.
- Execute test cases both manually and by running automation test suites as needed.
- Test REST API endpoints, creating collections to test HTTP requests and responses
- Trouble-shoot test failures in the various test environments. This may include trouble-shooting database issues using SQL queries, reviewing web server and application server logs.
- Document bugs in JIRA or defect management tool.
- Assist Test lead with test plan creation of individual testing events.
- Build and configure new interfaces to support testing activities.
- Bachelors Degree, Computer Science, Engineering or related preferred.
- 3+ years of hands on Quality Assurance/engineering testing experience in a Java, Cloud application environment testing user interfaces, backend database, micro services, APIs, Batch/ETL application components.
- 3+ years of hands-on scripting/coding experience in any one of the below Java Spring Boot automation testing tools such as JMeter, Selenium, Groovy or other similar tools 2+yrs of hands-on experience testing REST Api's using automation tools.
- In-depth knowledge of QA concepts and test management lifecycle.
- Knowledge of XML and JSON formats.
- Knowledge of SQL, Relational and Non Relational databases.
- Experience in a Continuous Integration/Delivery/DevOps environment supporting weekly or daily production deployments.
- Experience with Google or similar monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, New Relic
- Experience with Jenkins, Git Hub, Puppet, stack driver, spinnaker, IDEs.
- Experience with Enterprise Order Management and Supply Chain applications is a plus.
