Sr . Engineering Manager I , SW @ HARMAN

This position is within Harman Connected Car Division, located in Bangalore, India. In this position. Were searching for an experienced Software Engineering Manager with a strong background in building and managing robust software development teams. You will provide leadership to and work with development team members to contribute to multiple ADAS product lines. The ideal candidate will have good analytical skills, knowledge of engineering discipline, and experience in Automotive/ADAS functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the software development process, assuring proper adherence to best practices

• Responsible for continuous improvements in processes, Streamline development processes across projects and find solutions to optimize the development cycle

• Create project plans translating high-level direction into technical deliverables

• Oversee training and mentoring of new associates in software engineering best practices

• Ensure the team meets overall development goals in accordance with the long-term product development plan and short-term project deliverables

• Monitor progress of the teams in meeting product requirements and schedule compliance

• Set the tone for the team environment and build healthy team relationships

• Take initiative to improve product development processes

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineer/Computer Science

• 12+ years of industry experience in Design, Development and Testing of ADAS Active Safety Products and/or embedded automotive solutions

• 3+ years of automotive project management, people management, leadership experience

• Working experience of sensors is good to have

• Familiar with Agile development methodologies and test driven development

• Self motivated, result driven individual, must be passionate about the work

• Fluent in both written and spoken English
