Senior Software Engineer - Hyderabad @ Microsoft

You will be an integral part of our tight-knit group of dedicated problem solvers, with clear objective of accelerating the way Windows ship products. The ideal candidate should be confident in their ability to transfer raw data to insightful reports that will improve organizational action.

• Create data products that help Windows make data-driven ship decisions, focused around health, performance, and value of our products.
• Build relational connections and sustainable pipelines between Windows and our external partner data (Azure DevOps, ES, etc.) sources.
• Working with data engineers in our partner groups effectively, leveraging, and enabling others through our best practices and experiences.
• Enabling every developer on the Windows team, through personalized and secure data products that drive clarity on how they are investing their resources.
• Provide our directors and executives with data and insights, enabling clarity in investments in both our internal engineering services and external retail products.

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines infrastructure that adhere to industry ETL best practices.

• Should have 10+ years of software development experience.
• Working experience with SCOPE/COSMOS.

• Experience in PowerBI and other similar dashboard platforms.
• Proficient in R, Python and Ruby or similar programming languages.
• Working knowledge of TSQL or other similar RDMS languages.
• Understanding of ETL principles used in developing sustainable, compliant, and auditable data pipelines.
• Comfortable leveraging tools such as Excel, Jupyter notebook, RStudio, or similar, to quickly generate high-quality reports.

• Experience with GIT and version control best practices.
• Project management, collaboration and organizational skills.
• Proven track record where data analysis or reporting has influenced product development and strategy.
