Roles and responsibilities
- Performs the role of a test automation specialist
- Analysis of requirements from the specifications
- Define and write automation steps against the specification
- Develop code to implement the automation steps
- Prepare test data and Execute the test automation on the required test infrastructure
- Report out the results of automation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Participates in Review of automation deliverable
- Work with product owner to define program increment and sprint scope.
- Work with automation developers to realize the test automation for multiple features in parallel.
- Identify and retire technical risks through evaluations and feasibility.
- Identify and evaluate state of the art tools to continuously improve the test automation framework and process.
- Own up the environment setup and upkeep of the same.
- Transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function through the use of quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions
Core skills & experience
- Proven experience in Test Automation in a complex high-tech environment
- Hands on experience in Java, BDD frameworks, TestNG and WebDriver, API testing / Performance testing
- Experience in developing all forms of automated tests in a test pyramid like unit tests, integration tests and end to end UI tests.
- Experience in automation testing of applications in cloud and on-premises
- Experience with setting up and maintaining test automation infrastructure. Able to design the framework right from the scratch.
- Good experience in programming skills, automation tools, scripting languages are required.
- Ability to locate and implement improvements in test automation framework/execution
- Good programming and debugging experience test automation
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Working experience in Agile/SAFe development methodologies
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Experience with Test Automation using Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development
- Ability to stay focused on the target to deliver in agile manner.
- Knowledge of Privacy & Security Rules , aspects for Software
- Work experience on systems used in Payments and Banking is a plus
