The opportunity
Are you passionate about designing for productivity applications that live in sophisticated 3rd party ecosystems and marketplaces Do you like solving problems for developers enabling document workflows through APIs Adobe is looking for a Design Manager for Document Cloud Platform experiences to lead a group of senior designers who craft custom experiences for consumers of large enterprise productivity applications and long tail developers while using AI/ML technologies. Working closely with Product and Engineering executives, you will provide strategic design direction to designers and product managers. Your work will have impact on billions of knowledge workers who consume PDFs and e-signatures on the web.
What you'll do

• 
  You will coach and mentor designers. You will attract design talent to the team, hire, grow, retain and promote designers.
• 
  Lead the experience design team to design solutions throughout the product lifecycle from concept to launch to continuous improvements
• 
  Lead the end-to-end design process, ensuring timely, detailed, and polished deliverables
• 
  Work with the peer managers and directors to drive the design strategy, process, and align team objectives with pivotal initiatives
• 
  You will build a high-performing collaborative environment and encourage deep partnership with cross-functional teams, setting a high bar for design craft, and conceiving, defining and executing design strategy for 1.0s, and leading all aspects of design execution across releases.
• 
  You will own the creation of deliverables that articulate design strategy on a few pivotal initiatives.
• 
  You will help execute on monthly and quarterly product releases while ensuring that we ship at the highest design quality
• 
  You will represent the team and often teams work at C- levels at Adobe.

What you need to succeed

• 
  Leading empathetically, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for the designers to do innovative and impactful work
• 
  3-5 years of successfully leading multi-disciplinary UX teamswith 8+ years of user experience design for software
• 
  Demonstrate a portfolio of work with a consistent track record for solving complex UX design problems
• 
  Experience in closely collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting design concepts clearly and persuasively to colleagues, partners, stakeholders, and executives
• 
  Championing for customer-centric and holistic design across functions
• 
  Experience working with executives on ambiguous problems and crafting big picture strategies driven by design.
• 
  Being a facilitator across product-design-engineering teams in early stages of strategic projects. This may sometimes involve driving design thinking workshops.
• 
  Deep expertise in problem framing from customers point of view and solving problems through high design craft
• 
  Being able to socialize new insights and ideas with design rationale grounded in user research and business goals. Your leadership will incite the team to take action for better user and business outcomes. You will need to have excellent written, oral, presentation and storytelling skills to be successful.
