Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Employee Health & Safety
The EHS Consultant is responsible for EHS (Kolkata) & Sustainability Globally. Reporting of KPI s such as MIS, Project Reports, Gap Analysis, and Audit Report-outs, Budgeting and Variance for Pan-India initiatives, SLA Scoring of Outsourced EHS Vendors, Sustainability Initiatives planning, Tracking, Reporting, and Management as a representative of Global Program Manager, Presenting reports to the various Management/ Governance Councils, and Project Management of EHS Initiatives in coordination with peer EHS Consultants.
Responsibilities
Sustainability
o Sustainability report-outs as per applicable GRI Standards/Guidelines.
o Revisiting Sustainability Objectives and Targets on an annual basis and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to meet the revised O&Ts.
o Regular reports on Sustainability Performance vs Targets.
o Functioning as a Sustainability Evangelist, by Training and catalyzing key Genpact personnel.
ISO
o Effectively function on behalf of the MR for Documentation, Internal Audits, tracking site-wise initiatives.
o Identify and solve for any variances. Co-coordinate with internal & external departments as part of the resolution process
o Ensure that any identified Open items are closed within the Quarter
EHS
o Prepare monthly EHS reports on Sites
o Identify non-compliances and risky actions and conditions at Sites.
o Escalate critical non-compliances for speedy resolution.
o Initiate, Budget for, Track and Close all EHS initiatives at Site Level as per EHS Plan.
o Coordinate Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly EHS Meetings as per the EHS Plan.
Others
o External Breathing for inputs to EHS & Sustainability Plan.
o Bench-marking Genpact s EHS&S practices against peer companies and regular gap analysis with an action plan.
o Managing innovation in EHS & S.
o
Management Dashboards:
o OC Meeting Presentations.
o Governance Calls.
o ISO MR Reviews
o Weekly Site EHS Audits.
o Quarterly Initiatives vs Budget reports.
o Annual Plan vs Variance Reports out.
Document Management:
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of policies and SOPs, EHS decisions taken Uploading supporting documents on G Social, Support BD Teams on RFP Submissions. Storage and retrieval of backup documents
o Facilitate any internal and external audits related to EHS & S
o Updating e-Governance Tool on Change Management, Issue Reporting, and Compliance Reports, etc. modules
Coordinating with Other Functions/departments:
o Interfacing with Finance, I&L, and Projects & Engg contacts to collect data on a timely basis for updating of EHS Score Cards/Presentations.
o Facilitate the EHS initiatives by providing timely data/reports.
o Working with Customer Quality teams and Projects, Engg, FM and Logistics teams for New Site Audits, Fit-out Audits, pre-qualification of new floors, emergency drills, improving business process and implementing new initiatives such as Green Building, Back-to-Basics Programs, Sign-off on Change Management Requests
Additional responsibilities:
o Run Ergonomics and healthcare initiatives in online and offline modes
o Supervising overall EHS initiatives, leading controllership reviews, managing risk assessment, and mitigation projects, supporting day-to-day ad-hoc requirements.
o Supporting other EHS Consultants as backup, 100% cross-trained on all segments.
o Handling EHS/Statutory Compliance analysis requests across all Sites.
o Developing presentations on EHS&S, Action Plans for continual improvement, policies, and strategies for the function in line with best practices in other companies.
o Creating and updating SOP s
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualification
EHS/Safety is conscious with solid Technical, Analytical, and Problem-Solving Skills. The ability to work with large numerical data is a basic requirement with special attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as there will be regular calls with the controllership team, making presentations, writing emails.
Managing process independently without receiving instructions for carrying out day-to-day Deliverables, Customer requests, and any other activities.
As this is a knowledge-intensive function it is important to know the overall business strategy. Emphasis on gaining functional knowledge of other portfolios being managed through Cross-training.
Proficiency in interpreting Policies to support I&L Site functioning.
Good decision-making ability. Evaluating tasks and prioritizing accordingly.
Good working knowledge of Site wise EHS requirements and mitigation/improvement/development plans
The candidate should be proficient in
o E-Governance Tools (Archer)
o National Building Code and GRI G4
o Spreadsheet applications (Excel)
o Reporting tools PPT, PDF
o Statistical Tools Minitab
o Genpact and other CMPs on IT Facilities, Site requirements, New Site Due Diligence
