We have a vacancy for Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer for our client (MNC) in Ahmedabad.

Job description _ Mechanical Design Engineer
Experience: 8 10 Years in Machine / Industrial Equipment / Capital Goods manufacturing background.
Technical Skills:
Develop robust designs for new, special, or existing products that can be produced economically and according to established project timelines.
Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies (Forgings, Castings, Machining, Etching, Plating, Fabrication, Coating, Bought out parts (Mechanical / Electrical / Hydraulic / Pneumatic components etc.,) of large components.
Exposure to electrical parts will be added advantage.
Should be able to coordinate with other global design engineers working on other sites.
Good knowledge of GD & T.
Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
Should be able to prepare using 2D and 3D CAD software (Auto-cad & CATIA V5) mechanical drawings, detailed drawings and assembly models complete with calculated dimensions and tolerances.
Should be able to revise/alter detailed and layout drawings to conform to engineering changes.
Should be able to prepare engineering change requests.
Support NPD function in new product development activities.
Should be able to perform FEA studies in components/assemblies under development/improvement phases if required.
Can work to a project schedule and budget, ensuring quality, accuracy and efficiency of the work being performed.
