Senior Test Automation EngineerTrimble Connect
Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our team. This position will be focused on developing Automation tests for all API services and workflows in Connect Application. Trimble Connect API services are used in multiple Trimble Products like Sketchup, TerraFlex etc.
Key responsibilities
Design and Develop test plans/ strategies, execute and publish results
Study product requirements and design /develop test scripts
Plan, organize and execute assigned tasks with very little supervision.
Log the defects in bug tracking systems and work with different teams to bring the defects to closure
Work with team to write Automated test cases
Execute manual and automated test cycles
Perform Sprint ticket testing, Regression, Sanity, Performance testing etc.
Success in this position involves working effectively with the global cross functional teams, application domain experts, working within the established process framework, and demonstrating strong QA skills that result in very good quality deliverables
Participate in review functional, technical requirements and test plans and provide inputs to the functional test team on the scope of testing.
Constant interaction with other teams to ensure faster QA cycle.
Work with the Development team to capture and reuse automated test suites and with the Release Engineering team to build and deploy the automation build on QA or release or production servers
Trace the test results on the regularly-scheduled test updates and results back to specific quality risks promptly
Provide the project test status, estimates and metrics derived from testing
Skills & Experience Required:
4-6 years of experience in QA Automation Testing
Very strong hands-on experience in Automation and Or Performance testing
high-level proficiency with API automations using Selenium, TestNg framework and BDD frameworks
Should have good understanding on the role of automated testing within the software development lifecycle
Demonstrated knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML and Databases like Oracle , MySQL etc
Solid understanding with commonly accepted QA processes, methodologies, Software Testing Lifecycles.
Good exposure to different Testing methodologies like White Box & black box, Functional, Regression, Stability & Load.
Knowledge in Performance Testing and industry standard Performance testing tools such as JMeter.
Must be Self-motivated ,Proactive and self-starter
Open to discussion and change
Excellent analytical skills and extensive troubleshooting experience
Very good communication and interpersonal skills in a matrix organization environment
Should be Good team player and be able to collaborate actively with other team members in a cross-functional global environment
Exposure and experience in new automation tools
Ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects in a dynamic environment (assignment-based organization) and manage time appropriately,
