Job Description
VAM Systems is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company.VAM Systems is currently looking for End Point Expert for our UAE operations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:
Required Experience
1.Deep technical knowledge in administrating and configuring SCCM. Experience in patch manage and operating system deployment and reporting through SCCM.
2.Experienced in developing, testing and deploying enterprise software packages to all corporate users including non-Microsoft applications
3.Deep technical knowledge in PowerShell Scripting and VBScript. Experience in packaging, modifying and automating applications installations using scripting.
4.Experience in deployment of Operating System Security Patches and version upgrades using SCCM
5.Experience in building Microsoft Windows OS images for overall company-deployment.
6.Experience in hardware drivers as part of Windows Image packaging and deployment
7.Experience in InTune and WSUS as integral components of SCCM. Experienced in managing an echosystem where SCCM, InTune and WSUS work together.
Scope of Work
Transformation Activities
1.Audit / Review our end point management processes and existing landscape:
a.TEN and TFMC are contracted to share SCCM, MBAM and AD until February 2022
b.Identify and implement techniques to make changes in each shared system that will be limited to just TEN users/computers, with no risk or impact to TFMC.
c.Identify components, such as SCCM DPs and boundaries, that are used only at TFMC locations. Develop and execute plan to clean these components when they are no longer required.
d.Determine how to clean TFMC system recovery keys from MBAM database without risking TEN keys stored in same DB.
e.Identify potential quick-wins
2.In partnership with Microsoft Unified support team, Rollout of the Configuration Manager Client Health review
a.Make sure that any changes (new deployments, new GPOs, config changes, etc.) are contained only to TEN users/computers.
3.Way forward to inTune and Autopilot:
a.Approach - how do we go from where we are to where you should be
b.Determine ROI what locations / use cases does TEN have that would benefit from autopilot vs traditional SCCM deployment
c.Determine risks what limitations does autopilot have vs SCCM OSD What additional management overhead is required for maintaining Azure AD groups, creating Intune packages, etc.
d.Frame it as a project
e.Submit and Start executing the prerequisites when possible
f.Submit project for activation
4.Migrate BitLocker recovery keys from MBAM to Intune/Azure AD
a.Determine effort, resources, costs involved
b.Determine schedule
c.Determine risks
d.Develop plan to prevent any risk/impact to TFMC systems still using TEN AD, SCCM and MBAM
e.Submit project for activation
5.Current channel deployment for Microsoft 365 Apps
a.Work with business ambassadors for St. Petersburg, Russia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to set deployment schedule, communicate to end users, deploy task sequence that removes language packs and upgrades to current channel, troubleshoot/resolve any issues related to upgrade
b.Once 10% of total TEN endpoints are on current channel, work with business ambassadors and communications team to plan roll-out to remaining 90%
6.Supervise Windows 10 image upgrade before by dec 31st and coordinate deployment
a.Consult with application owners, cybersecurity and infra architects to determine best OS version to use
b.Build image and deployment task sequence
c.Make available to app owners for testing
d.Work with communications team to prepare comms regarding upgrade process and any notable changes
e.Pilot deployment to small group
f.Update production global image task sequence to use new image
g.Work with business ambassadors to plan deployment to remaining systems
Operation Activities
1.Be the SME for Endpoint regarding change request (approving changes that impact SCCM, Intune, endpoint/user GPOs, endpoint OS, mobile devices, etc.)
2.Fully accountable for the sanity and availability of the End Point architecture: SCCM, BitLocker, GPOs, BeyondTrust Privilege Management, Intune/Mobile Device Management
3.Technical lead and supervision will fall into consultant's responsability:
a.Attend the team meetings,
b.Assign technical tasks,
c.Review and approve/reject service catalog requests
d.Ensure change actions assigned to End Point teams are understood and well executed
4.Support VDI pilot implementation in TEN
i.Evaluate current VDI image and determine differences between it and standard PC global image
ii.Execute any necessary changes to make VDI image as close to PC global image as possible
5.Supervise Cognizant packaging contract: check performance of the agreed SLAs, drive priorities
6.Support in Windows 7 Upgrade Campaign
Key Interactions
Reports to Infrastructure & Operation Products and Architecture Director
Supervises technically a team of 2 resources, located in Russia and Malaysia
Terms and conditions
Joining time frame: (15 - 30 days)
The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems - UAE and shall be deputed to one of the Organizations in UAE.
