The challenge
Adobe's Customer Experience Insights & Analytics team is on a critical mission to understand the impact of Customer Experience on our users engagement and retention with our products. We are seeking a creative and passionate Data Science Engineer to join our team. In this position you will design, develop and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured, unstructured, diverse 'big data' sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for enhanced customer engagement
What you'll do

• Build and maintain scalable automated data pipelines, software programs, algorithms to cleanse, stitch and calibrate large datasets from multiple disparate sources to tackle real-world business challenges
• Design and architect efficient analytics layer, to process large datasets to make them easily available to analytics teams
• Design and build efficient data pipelines to move data across systems - SQL, Hadoop, AWS
• Explore large semi-structured or unstructured datasets and explore ways to stitch them to unlock insights

What you need to succeed

• Masters in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Hadoop and related technology stack - with an emphasis on Hive and Apache Spark
• Strong proficiency in querying, manipulating and analyzing large data sets using SQL and/or SQL-like languages.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability.
• Strong proficiency in AB testing and other common analytical methods
• Familiarity with at least one BI tool such as Tableau or Power BI
• Familiarity with data ingestion through the use of REST APIs and python scripting
• Familiarity with Adobe Analytics and Target a plus
• Familiarity with analytics and dashboarding frameworks like plotly dash, Voila a plus
• Always be on the lookout to automate and improve existing data processes for quicker turn-around and high productivity
• Be quick to learn new technologies as well as deliver on them in short order
• Be a succinct communicator and collaborate with business partners on their data needs & design solutions
