Accountable for Security and Privacy on all aspects of internal and Client facing business. The Privacy Office focusses on all aspects of Privacy and Data Protection, working closely with Supervisory authorities, users and stakeholders ensuring the required Privacy Compliance expectations continue to be met at all times
ResponsibilitiesoIn this role, you will be accountable for Privacy and Data Protection in the organization and be the point of contact for Supervisory authorities, users and internal stakeholders
oYou will evangelize a Privacy Culture across the organization fabric by means of periodic Awareness measures such as Privacy mailers and eLearning methods
oYou will inculcate Privacy by Design as a conscious practice in the organization
oYou will closely work with all relevant stakeholders so as to ensure compliance against Privacy and Data Protection expectations continue to be met at all times, including incorporating of appropriate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) covering relevant controller / processor relationships as needed
oYou will undertake Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) / Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and review any relevant changes which can influence the use, storage or disposal of any form of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
oYou will implement a comprehensive Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) basis ISO27701 and sustain the highest levels of compliance on the same, including certifying against the Standard
oYou will work with stakeholders to ensure timely identification, recording and notification - to relevant Supervisory authorities, Clients or other effected parties - as well as its resolution, should a personal data breach occur
oYou will keep abreast with the latest happenings on global Privacy Regulations so as to ensure compliance to the same
oYou will build a comprehensive Privacy Metrics initiative which will be used for Privacy Program reviews and CISO reporting
oYou will participate in functional and group level meetings with stakeholders and provide your subject matter expertise and leadership as deem fit
Knowledge expectationsoYou are a thought leader and come with at least 7 years of Privacy and Data Protection experience
oYou come with experience in assessing applications, systems and processes those handling PII and recommending corrective actions to achieve compliance with relevant Privacy and Data Protection requirements
oYou come with extensive knowledge of interpretation and control implementations pertaining to Cyber Laws, Privacy and Data Protection Laws as well as relevant decisions / guidance issued by Supervisory Authorities, Courts and Tribunals from time to time in applicable jurisdictions
oYou have strong experience in driving Privacy Change Management in a geographically diverse organization to help build a Privacy Culture systematically and effectively
oYou possess expert level understanding of Standards and Regulations such as, but not limited to, Information Security Management System (ISO 27001), Privacy Information Management System (ISO 27701), GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA etc.
oYou have a good understanding of essential security controls in one or more of the following Cloud platforms Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Required education and certificationsoYou are an Engineering graduate, have an equivalent or higher education
oYou have acquired one or more of the following certifications CIPP, CIPM, FIP, CDPSE, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor, ISO 27701 Lead Implementer / Auditor certifications
Skill expectations and othersoYou nurture and inspire the team to achieving continuous learning and growth
oYou come with a mix of strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
oYou have great attention to detail, project management, strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills; including working with executive leadership in organizations
oYou are regular panellist or speaker in Privacy conferences and round tables
oYou are part of industry forums which focusses on contributing on various topics of Privacy and Data Protection
oYou come with a mindset of helping improve the Privacy Program being able to switch between tactical as well as strategic decisions from time to time
oYou are a self-starter, a go getter and an innovative thinker with a positive attitude
