Basic terms of employment are mentioned below for your ready reference:
Job title : Piping Designer.
Contract duration : 6 - 9 months (On Brunel payroll)
Experience Range Total: 4 - 10 years
Should have good knowledge & experience of piping Layout and Designing.
Must have knowledge of Sp3D & AutoCAD.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Must have experience of extraction of BOM from P&ID & 3D model.
- Must have handled Mid-level and large scale projects in oil and gas field.
- Must be familiar with piping codes and standards (ASTM / ASME, API etc).
- Should have knowledge of various piping concepts like steam tracing, jacketed piping, IBR piping, basics of pipe supporting.
- Should have performed piping designing of standard piping modules like: pump piping, column piping, exchanger piping, tank piping, vessel / drum piping, pipe rack piping, haters / reformers piping, modular concept etc.
- Should have knowledge of statutory regulations and requirements of refinery and petrochemical industry, like OISD, PESO, NFPA standards. Should have deep knowledge of piping material specification. And standard piping specification like PMS / VMS / support standard etc.
- Should know Isometric and piping GA drawing checking.
- Should be familiar with checking of piping isometrics for BOM, preparation of line list, P&ID review,
- Should have knowledge of piping special parts like strainers/traps /manifolds/ hoses.
- Should be familiar with Review and checking of 3D model, should be familiar with piping layout study, according to design basis and plant layout.
- Should know generation / extraction of Isometric, spool drawings and piping GA drawing and checking.
- Should have worked in developing Interconnecting P&ID and tie-in schedule.
- Should be able to decide nozzle orientation and generation orientation sheets.
- Clash & consistency checking of piping, preparation of line list & interconnecting PID, nozzle orientation of equipment's.
- Should have good knowledge of AutoCAD & SP3D for modeling of piping, structure, Equipment & Cable trays for E&I items.
- Should have knowledge of piping material specifications.
- Should be conversant with P&IDs, Instrument hook ups structural drawings etc. & its effect on piping engineering.
- Should have ability to review /check the vendor documents.
