Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President Human Resource

The HR AVP will report to and work under the direction of the VP, Human Resources for Enterprise Services.

This position will be supporting the Supply Chain Management team.
Collaboration with Finance teams and driving key business and HR metrics will be a critical part of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct HR leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to the Global SCM Business Leadership team, as well as provide support directly to employees through the employee lifecycle
  • work in the areas of talent management, workforce planning, talent acquisition, increment planning, performance management, onboarding, engagement, and other common HR responsibilities.

  • Manage a global team of HR business partners and specialists, coaching them to be successful in their roles
  • Serve as a player/coach to the Recruiting team including providing mentorship and feedback on job performance, providing direction on talent forecasting and planning with partnership from business leadership and staffing, stepping in when needed to add capacity or help close key candidates
  • Manage onboarding process of new hires including management of background check team and process, serve as liaison between new hires and background check team, seek exceptions and approvals as necessary in the background check process, oversee the pre-onboarding tasks, and all other duties related to successful joining of new hires
  • Oversee the coordination of executive new hire immersion program, create and conduct onboarding for non-executive hires including coordination with other internal teams; all done for a emote workforce
  • Implement and drive HR standard methodologies which seek to increase Employee Engagement and retention, utilizing technology to include virtual team members. Example: meetings and forums for employees to interact with leadership (townhalls, skips, pulses), Rewards & Recognition programs, drive Early Warning System (EWS) coverage and efficiency, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and multiple specialist support groups such as Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, Recruiting, Immigration, Legal, IT, and HR Shared Services; to ensure compliance on all people processes, timely administration and a seamless employee experience; serve as a first line of defense for employee and manager questions, and escalate issues on behalf of employees with internal teams as necessary
  • Coordination with Finance teams and Business Operations on planning and financial updates
  • Coordinate Performance Management processes including Performance Management, iPerform, Scorecards, Calibration, Competencies, and Promotion Nominations
  • Manage global compensation planning, including bonus calculations, annual increments, promotion increases, and corrections
  • Exit process administration including exit interviews and off-boarding
  • Support recruiting efforts by writing job descriptions, securing finance and business approval to hire within financial plans, request and open Taleo IDs, conduct interviews, and sell candidates on the opportunity
  • Manage recruiting process by building and managing interview process, training interviewers, building interview guides, conducting interviews, and managing the employee referral program
  • Maintain and report data from people processes such as employee attrition, immigration and headcount
  • Advise managers/leadership on employee matters such as performance, disciplinary action, and terminations, seeking legal advice when needed, conducting terminations as necessary
  • Manage contractor process- including onboarding, contract support, overseeing background checks, and ensuring payments are made
  • In partnership with Mobility team, manage and oversee the immigration process for visa sponsorships, work permits, and green cards both for existing employees as new hires
  • Manage internal transfers
  • Ensures necessary changes are updated in Finance and HR systems
  • Responds to inquiries from various Genpact teams
  • Work on special projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree
  • HR business partner experience required
  • Experience with HR systems, new employee onboarding, immigration, and performance management
  • Exceptionally high attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills
  • Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to immediately contribute to a team environment
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of client focus
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn
  • Demonstrated business partner experience required along with experience in talent management, workforce planning, acquisitions, increment planning, performance management, onboarding, engagement, and other common HR deliverables.
  • Executive presence, organized, self- motived, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication required along with a solid understanding of company initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment where expectations are very high.
  • Strong decision-making and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Preferred Skills/Qualifications
  • HR leadership experience preferred
