Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Lead, Global Internal Communications

This role will lead Global Internal Communications and the development and implementation of a communications strategy that covers a broad and diverse range of business and employee communications. This position reports to the Vice President and Head of Global Integrated Communications.

This team leader will partner closely with C-suite executives and other senior leaders to create and implement coordinated internal communications and engagement strategies for over 90,000 employees. The role will require strong collaboration skills, and the ability to link communications strategies to business goals and objectives and ensuring all aspects of this critical global organization is closely aligned with the Global Integrated Communications strategy.

At its heart, this role will enable Genpact leaders to effectively communicate in a timely, authentic, and empathetic way with their teams and across the organization globally. This leader will help educate and inform Genpact s communications strategy to all levels of the organization and will connect the dots in terms of how individuals work contributes to the company s larger purpose, strategy, and success. The incumbent will foster bi-directional communication informing, engaging, and educating employees while providing a unique pathway for executives to better understand employee attitudes and experiences. This role will be an advocate for employee experience in the area of communication approaches, tactics, and defining the most impactful channels to reach employees where they work. This role works across all channels (town hall meetings, video messages, newsletters, blogs, internal platforms, team meetings, etc.), to create content that is meaningful, impactful, and valued by employees.

Additionally, as the channel owner for a significant part of Genpact s business its people the person in this role will reach out to colleagues in Global Integrated Communications to ensure that employees information needs remain front and center in Genpact s dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of internal communicators who are aligned to areas of the business and stakeholders. Manage this team effectively through nurturing an ongoing understanding of the business, company strategies, and the critical role internal communications plays in driving business success.
  • Develop a robust, collaborative editorial calendar that can also accommodate breaking news and other developments.
  • Ensure effective alignment between global and regional internal communications to ensure messaging is consistent companywide while allowing for regional variations that help drive regional team success.
  • Be agile to ensure employees are informed about critical issues related to changing policies while creating a culture of engagement, connectedness, and one that celebrates employee success in all parts of the business.
  • Support Global Townhalls aligned with Genpact s CEO and the Head of Global Integrated Communications.
  • Understand internal communications best practices from other global companies of Genpact s size and be proactive in suggesting process improvements based on solid business cases that articulate anticipated ROI. Be proficient in SharePoint, Poppulo, Microsoft Office, and other content management systems that may be deployed to facilitate best-in-class employee communications at Genpact.
  • Partner effectively across Human Resources, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and other parts of Global Integrated Communications.
  • Serve as Crisis Communications lead on broader activation teams as crises arise, representing the needs of the employee channel.
  • Understanding the variety of job types at Genpact and being creative in communicating with each.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications

  • Experience in Internal Communications.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications.
  • Formidable leadership, project management and coordination, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Skilled editor who can add value to the work of others while doing so in a supportive way that inspires learning.
  • Capable of working across complex organizations and environments prone to regular change
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively between different disciplines and have a high level of executive presence.
  • Understand regional cultural nuances when working with stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in serving as an employee advocate with senior leaders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and experience leading teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • Fast-paced, with the capability to self-manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative storyteller team leader.
  • Ability to use creative thinking to identify and solve problems.
