The Senior Corporate Counsel, APAC will be a key leader in our growth efforts in Asia. This member of the team will be a stand-alone leader of the legal function in this strategic and growing market with a focus on India where the majority of our employees reside. This individual will manage all legal aspects in this geography, including running all commercial activity and providing general counsel services to our business and people.
Responsibilites

• Identify, evaluate and advise on all legal aspects concerning our growing business in Asia
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the company's sales, product, engineering, technical operations, human resources, marketing, and finance groups to identify legal concerns and balance business, financial and risk management objectives
• Draft and negotiate all types of commercial contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements, professional services agreements, vendor and partner agreements
• Provide guidance, oversight, project management, implementation and training in key areas, including compliance and IP protection
• Identify priority regulatory compliance projects and champion efforts to adhere to applicable requirements
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement and problem-solving work product of the legal group

Experience and Qualifications

• Experienced India qualified lawyer with 7+ years of legal experience at a firm and in-house at a software company
• Experience working with commercial licensing arrangements, data transfer and privacy issues, as well as local HR and general compliance concerns
• Fluency in both English and Hindi
