Job Description
As a Software Engineer in Test you will be part of an international team playing a dynamic role working on interesting technical problems across different environments such as Connected TV devices, Mobile Apps and Desktop environments. You will be setting up a CTV device lab and also get exposed to Android, iOS, CTV apps and Javascript applications. You will be playing an important role in the CTV product which is one of the top 3 initiatives for the company.
As a Software Engineer you will manage day-to-day technical queries, investigations, and issues, maintaining subsequent technical relationships with other IAS teams. In addition you will work with customers in ensuring their implementation of our product works as expected ready to go to market by testing and providing solutions and insight. This is a unique role where you would be working on QA projects, global partner integrations and also incident investigations all at the same time. You will have the opportunity to debug and learn code running in Javascript, Android and iOS. As a Senior member you will also be responsible for hiring and training engineers as the team grows. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to learn and develop skills in many dimensions such as Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Client communications, Project Management and People management.
(Please note that this job role requires work time flexibility. The selected person may require to work in 02:30 pm to 11:30 pm shift)
What you'll get to do:
- Setup a Connected TV (CTV) device lab, establish and execute relevant test plans and procedures for testing CTV apps
- Research and Investigation to identify solutions for testing Ads on CTV devices
- Work across multiple environments, CTV (Roku, Amazon, AppleTV, Samsung and Vizio TV), Mobile app (iOS & Android) and Web
- Work with clients on testing/supporting their integrations of product using tools such as Mobile Device Simulators, Charles proxy and test rail to test and track test results
- Be the point of contact for an issue when created, driving quick resolutions and working alongside Customer Excellence, Engineering and R&D
- Serve as support for advertiser and publisher customers by knowing how to recognize and debug most common known issues utilizing web dev tools, knowledge of HTML, JS etc.
- Keep up to date with IAS and IAB (OMSDK) features
- Be autonomous on problem solving: identify the root cause of an issue by isolating the problem, being curious, and able to self teach new skills.
- Provide incident management support to customer facing issues, utilizing IASs incident management process.
- Training and mentoring for junior staff
You should apply if you have most of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Over 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Technical Experience in issue investigation and debugging by analysing log data, setting up test environments, running SQL queries etc,.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- History of collaborating effectively within cross-functional and multinational teams
What puts you over the top:
- Proficiency in Web Proxy tools (Charles Proxy, MITM etc), Excel, HTML and SQL
- Mobile App and CTV App Testing experience
- Javascript applications testing experience
- Experience with JIRA and working in an Agile team , Test Rail, ad tech experience, and databases
