• Collins Aerospace ART engages in a wide variety of initiatives to help SBU s across Collins to achieve Digital Engineering / DPLC (Digital Product Life Cycle) solutions, to achieve this solutions ART needs DevOps / DevSecOps Cloud practices to effectively manage the pipelines.

We re obsessed about delivering strong success for our Customers, and use DevOps models, practices, and tools along with expertise from across the AWS organization to provide customers with the best possible outcomes.
• The DevOps Architect is a leader with significant technical, automation, and programming experience throughout the full lifecycle enterprise SDLC. This role leads our enterprise customers through large technical, organizational, and SDLC transformations.
• A successful DevOps practitioner has technical depth across the full DevOps and Software Development spectrum, along with leading and evangelizing transformations and driving innovations.

We Are Looking For People That Have

• A strong understanding of enterprise scale automated software development using current tools. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical DevOps expert and have past experience working as a consultant.
• A background of deep technical expertise supporting customers by building and managing enterprise-scale DevOps platforms, including code repositories, automated build and testing tooling, automated deployment tooling, containerization technologies, and general automation of infrastructure, provisioning, and configuration management functions.
• A comprehensive understanding of enterprise software development tools and methodologies, including typical enterprise application architectures and the ability to write scripted or compiled application and automation code.

Basic Qualifications

• At 10+ years of IT experience most of which will have been in helping the design and implementation of the software suite/module.

• 2+ years on any Cloud Platform

• Bachelor s degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

• Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Powershell, Ansible, Terraform etc)

• Strong hands-on experience on CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Team city etc.

• Configuration management using CloudFormation and/or Chef/Puppet.

• Containerisation of applications using ECS or EKS (Kubernetes) or Docker.

• Implementing experience with primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, Route53 S3)

• Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale.

• Experience with development and automated testing.

• Understanding of microservices and distributed application architecture.

• Experience ensuring DevOps pipelines and software development process complies with required security standards.

• Experience establishing, implementing, and delivering using Agile practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps/SysOps Certified

• Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.

• Experience in programming languages like Java/Python.

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

• Integration of AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.

• Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.).
