Job Description
DESIGNATION : Software Test Engineer
PROFILE:
This position will be responsible for testing of consumer and professional facing desktop and web applications. Responsibilities will include creating and executing test plans, test cases and performing general ad-hoc testing. Should be experienced in unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing methodologies. This position will also be responsible for coordinating with development team and stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Well versed with all types of testing approaches and commonly used tools
Should be precise, meticulous and can follow testing procedures in a methodical way
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be okay with working late hours to interact with US based team members
Develop, document Test Scenarios and Cases based on functional profiles.
Perform regression testing as per approved Test Cases when requested or as per approved schedules, verification testing on assigned defects.
Test requirement definition, test design, test script and test data development, test automation, test environment configuration management and test execution.
Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensures client satisfaction.
Train and coach members of technology groups to ensure effective knowledge management activity.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 3 years of experience testing desktop/web/mobile applications
Must have at least 2 years of experience in testing consumer facing web apps
Must have experience in analyzing the problem domain, developing and executing test plans and test cases, and providing well documented feedback with clear steps
Knowledge of .NET/C#, JavaScript and SQL
Familiarity with Jira/TFS
EDUCATION: Required: BE/B.Tech, Computers, Electronics, MSc/BSc Computers
