Job Description

Education

  • Chartered Accountant (CA)/Cost Accountant (CWA)/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 5 years of work experience.
  • MBA/CA-Intermediate or CWA-Intermediate/Masters Degree in Finance.

Role Summary: (Brief 4-5 line description of the role )

  • 8 to 10 years of strong work experience into Financial Reporting, Planning and Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Information (MI) Reporting and Financial Controllership function.
  • Experience in team management, and ability to lead team of upto 10 or more subject matter experts - qualified or semi-qualified professionals.
  • Proven experience of working with Senior stakeholders, managing relations and customer service.
  • Lead and motivate colleagues, identify opportunities for people development and increasing the employee engagement.
  • Experienced in implementing the adequate process controls and review mechanism.
  • Increasing the productivity and resources utilization, and partner with onshore colleagues for the Change implementation (Process, People and Technology).
  • Ability to lead a larger team with multiple clients with high complexity and conflicting expectations.
  • Collaborate and work with other support functions i.e. Quality, IT, HR, Admin etc for the Operations Stabilisation and Delivery results.

Role overview: (Detailed role description 10-12 lines)

  • Motivate, Lead and manage a team of up to 10 colleagues and ensure the SLAs and Delivery on time.
  • Develop stronger working relations with domicile teams, and work towards growing the operations.
  • Operations stabilization and implement/report the effective Performance Measurement-Service and Colleagues.
  • Focus the Critical to Delivery and Customer priorities.
  • Lead participate the Change Management, and wider involvement for supporting the objectives of bigger team.
  • Deliver and review the complex set of Management Accounts and other activities including Regulatory.
  • Develop and improvise the internal review and control process.
  • Participate in People Development and contribute towards attrition management

Skills Knowledge Requirements:

  • Hands on experience on any of the ERP is must e.g. SAP, Oracle, People Soft preferably Globe or Great Plains.
  • End to end understanding of the Finance function, and its integration with other areas, and Chart of Accounts.
  • Good MS-Office skills mainly MS-Excel with ability to use the functions of Advanced Excel including Macros.
  • Hands on exposure on IFRS or US-GAAP accounting.
  • Practical experience in Regulatory Compliance for any country is an added advantage, and will help succeed in the role faster.

Mandatory Skills (Specialized)

  • Good subject knowledge and experience with analytical skills preferably from Banking and Financial Services Industry.
  • Strong outlook towards implementing the Performance Measurement and Key Operations Metrics for an objective assessment of Service Delivery and Colleagues Performance.
  • Analyze interpret the root cause and effectively manage the customer escalation, and put the appropriate control/mitigation plan.

Good To Have :
  • Experience in leading a larger team with multiple clients with high complexity and conflicting expectations.
  • Small to large project teams and extensive interaction with internal and/or external clients.
