Job Responsibilities: Lead a team of DSP Engineers responsible for design, development and testing of LTE User Equipment DSP software that meets time/memory/power requirements Prepare time/memory estimation for every procedure and implement core LTE UE algorithms which include SNR Estimation, Equalization, Demodulation, Cell identification, Time & Frequency Synchronization schemes in LTE DSP Take ownership of testing issues from internal lab, Field and customer lab until closure Provide architecture choices and inputs related to DSP memory, processor performance and power requirement Develop & Follow the organizations software engineering standards to ensure the quality of all deliverables from the team Act as a bridge between your team and peer teams Control software, IC design, Systems and QA Nurture the team in necessary domains, Mitigate the risks effectively and grow the teams capabilities Provide mentoring to junior members in the team and hands on contribution in critical areas of project
Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of experience in DSP software development Experience in any one of the following wireless domains: 2G / 3G /4G cellular (preferably CDMA/WCDMA/GSM/UMTS/WiMAX/LTE), 802.11, 802.16, UWB or related wireless technologies Knowledge of signal processing theory and techniques and experience in solving challenging wireless signal processing problems Expertise in DSP profiling/analysis and optimizing user equipment for achieving increased throughput, low latency & power Must be proficient in C & Assembly programming language, one scripting language (Perl/Python) and RTOS features. Knowledge of software development process and software configuration management Good Team player with strong interpersonal and mentoring skills
Preferred Qualifications Experience in implementing any wireless Physical layer protocol on Ceva/ZSP DSP platform Project management experience in planning a teams schedule from conceptualization till deployment Exposure to Aeroflex, Rhode & Schwartz, Anite or any related Network emulators for testing wireless protocols Experience in wireless system architecture definition and partitioning of wireless algorithms across Control/DSP/HW domains Familiarity in analyzing issues that span across multiple domains: algorithm, SW-HW interface, inter-processor interface and performance Mapping of 3GPP/wireless operators UE requirement specification to test scenario
Education: M.S or B.S in ECE or related specializations
